McCaffery is proud to debut a new public art installation at The Strip District Terminal. The art installation was created in collaboration with Brian Holderman, a local Pittsburgh artist and owner of Holderman Art Graphics. Currently on display in two locations (at the intersection of 17th and 18th Streets) along Smallman Street, the four digitally produced murals are each 26 feet wide by 12 feet tall.

“We wanted to capture the vibrancy of the Strip District and give folks a glimpse into what they can expect at The Terminal. We knew Brian’s work around Pittsburgh and thought his signature style would be a perfect complement to what we’re building and the vitality and excitement of all that’s happening in the neighborhood,” says Dan McCaffery, CEO of the firm behind the Strip District neighborhood’s two historic redevelopments, The Strip District Terminal and 1600 Smallman.

“This mural was intended to depict the spirit of the Strip District from old-style grocers, street vendors, produce stands to cafés and shops.  My hope is that this vibrant mural portrays the energy of one of Pittsburgh’s most beloved historic neighborhoods,” says Brian Holderman, the artist behind the design.
